An incredibly poignant and beautiful story about two lonely girls mutual friendship. Not since ‘Zoo Station, The Story of Christiane F.’ have I been so emotionally involved, and even though the story is incredible sad, it wasn’t devastating, but actually life-affirming in a very beautiful way. ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ is the story about the sensitive 15-year-old boy, Charlie, who starts in High School. As a reader I felt like I had a bigger role in this book because of the personal writing style and that is something I have never experienced before. But at the same time I cannot say that ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ has reached my list of favorite books. (mere…)
